The Dregs of the Colas

Did you know that colas such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola still use coca leaves in their production? Since these are technically foods, by law they must first remove the alkaloid known as cocaine. Instead of discarding or destroying it, they sell it to the dentistry industry, which uses it as a local anesthetic during tooth extractions.
