On Trees in Urban Areas
Did you know that since nineteen-eighty, all trees within ten miles of any major city are mandatorily implanted with a device that emits a mild insecticide? It's the only thing that keeps bees and other pests from swarming tree-lined streets. Washington D.C.'s cherry blossoms used to attract more than ten million bees per week.
