Sweet Precipitation

Did you know? The average raindrop is approximately 0.5% sucrose. This is too small a concentration to be tasted in the rainfall, but if rainwater is collected and carefully evaporated, the crystalline sugar will remain. An attempt was made to market rain sugar, and the product was rebranded several times, with names such as "Heaven Sent," "Good Precipitations," and "Sweet Thunder." The product was a failure. The flavor was not unpleasant, but the dull gray color was rather unappetizing.

Remember, you read it here!
